IV Therapy
What is IV therapy? Intravenous therapy is a medical procedure where fluids, medications, nutrients, or blood are directly administered into a patient's bloodstream through a small tube (catheter) inserted into a vein, allowing for rapid delivery of necessary substances when oral intake is not possible or sufficient.
What are the benefits of having IV therapy done? Whether a person has migraines, asthma, or muscle spasms Dena Westphalen believes that these types of conditions have “positive responses to IV therapy” {Westphalen, Dena. 2025)”. My perspective on this it is important to not only live a healthy life but to also integrate new ways of becoming a healthier version of who you are.
Who can benefit from having IV therapy? During my time reading over the interview that Dena Westphalen was a part of, Dena Westphalen mentioned that “IV therapy is a valuable treatment option when provided by a medical professional {Westphalen, Dena. 2025)”. Furthermore, Dena goes on to mention that “ the management of chronic dehydration and healthy skin is a great boost to their quality of life {Westphalen, Dena. 2025). In conclusion, I am a believer that if you can improve your health I encourage you to try IV therapy.

How can we improve our gut health?
What does it mean to have a healthy gut? According to Megan Rossi MD “someone who does not get sick often, sleeps really well and deals with stress effectively” ( Megan Rossi 2025), etc has a healthy gut. Within the past year I have spoken to people who I work out with and one topic that is brought up is gut health.
How can you improve your microbes? In an article published from theguthealthdoctor.com, the Gut Health Doctor team goes on to mention several ways to improve your microbes. The First way the team suggests is to “avoid the midnight munch” (Maya, 2025). An additional way you can improve your gut health is by adding vegetables into your diet (Maya, 2025). Even adding one vegetable that you love is better to add into your diet rather than not having any vegetables with your meals.
What is the takeaway? The next time you go grocery shopping go right to the vegetable section. The reason this should be first is because if you are adding a new food to your diet, that needs to be your priority food. Furthermore, taking care of your gut is essential especially if you are someone like myself who does not like to get sick.
